We Are Digital, the Coventry-based digital training provider, has further strengthened its growing marketing team with two new senior-level appointments. As part of the organisation’s ambitious growth strategy, David Smyth has been appointed to the role of chief marketing and sales officer, while Seema Rathod joins as marketing manager.
A new addition to the We Are Digital executive leadership team, David will be responsible for shaping the brand’s sales and marketing strategy. He brings extensive, international sales and marketing experience to the role, gained from working within large corporations as well as start-up and scale-up technical businesses looking to reach the next level of success.
Meanwhile, Seema brings more than eight years’ marketing, planning, customer and internal communications experience across financial services and utilities to the role.
Seema joins We Are Digital from another social impact organisation Ingeus, where she previously held the role of marketing communications manager. Seema will be focusing on building the brand and marketing strategy alongside David, as well as building the marketing function for We Are Digital.
We Are Digital is a VC-backed social impact business that has helped thousands of people access essential online services and manage their debts during the pandemic through its training work with housing associations, local authorities, banks and corporates. The brand is also currently working closely with the GMCA and the Prince’s Trust to recruit, engage and progress young people into Manchester’s growing tech sector as part of the Digital Futures Fund.
