OUR PROJECTS

Tens of thousands of residents, tenants and customers have become more digitally confident, financially savvy and empowered in their communities. More than 100 tenants at Stonewater Homes have benefited from digital or financial skills training and gifted digital devices, following an investment by the organisation’s charitable arm, the Longleigh Foundation, in a targeted community project.
Through free-to-access digital inclusion and financial skills training, we have helped individuals save money, connect with friends and family, improve employment prospects and develop their resilience. In a combined programme, Waltham Forest Council residents and tenants are benefiting from investment in both financial and digital inclusion training. Beneficiaries of the programme are learning how to transact online, switch suppliers, navigate online banking, negotiate bills, and improve their digital confidence to enhance their earning potential.

Financial inclusion skills training

Our financial capability and education support is an innovative programme designed to raise engagement rates through focusing on earning and switching, rather than saving and budgeting. Residents receive full 1;1 case support, as well as modules focused on earning money online, negotiating bills down, budgeting through apps and accessing emergency grants.

Employability & Digital Marketing Training (DI Boost)

For individuals looking to upskill and break into the world of digital marketing, our employer-supported courses offer a deep dive into everything from marketing planning and the digital customer journey, to analytics and reporting. Participants are coached through their search for employment, with CV, LinkedIn and personal branding workshops, as well as mock interviews and exposure to local employers.

Digital inclusion skills training

Encouraging residents to communicate and engage with organisations digitally can save money, as well as enriching lives. Our courses run from basic IT skills and introductions to specific programmes, through to more comprehensive and advanced user experience. We cover all aspects of the Essential Digital Skills Framework: Foundation; Communicating; Problem solving; Transacting; and Handling information and content.

Pre-tenancy support

Hundreds of social housing tenancies fail in their first year; leaving housing associations and local authorities footing bills that can run into thousands of pounds. But pre-tenancy training can reverse that trend – allowing new tenants to develop their confidence online and enhance their social responsibility. The course focused on your house, your money, your landlord and your community to ensure residents are switched on and engaged before they even move in.
